- What causes an A/C system leak?
Weak air flow is either blockage usually from a plugged (dirty) cabin air filter or a worn blower motor.
AC duct temperatures start to decrease or noise when AC is turned on
Low on Freon, condenser or evaporator has blockage from debris, AC compressor worn causing low pressure, moisture in the system
AC condenser fan, moisture in the system
Bacteria build up from dirt in the AC evaporator box
We install AC dye to the system and use a black light and also do a visual inspection
The o-rings get hard and shrink, rubber hoses get brittle, road debris hits the AC condenser and punctures the cooling fins, compressor seals wear out
